Are my credit card details safe? Go back to the
questions
We use an external catalogue provided by Netbanx. This means that all
the security is handled by leading experts in their field. NetBanx uses
a combination of techniques to ensure that transactions passed are secure
and trusted. NetBanx runs Netscape Enterprise Secure Server, acknowledged
as an industry standard for applications requiring security. All payment
card information sent to NetBanx and from NetBanx is encrypted. Firewalls
within the NetBanx system allow the isolation of information from hackers.
NetBanx has developed from processes established over 7 years as a security
system specifically for the Internet environment. NetBanx has been adopted
by the major UK banks to provide security to their merchants.
We do not see your card details. Netbanx handle them and pass orders
and payment to us. We can authorise a refund (or partial refund) to your
card by telling Netbanx the transaction reference number.
2. How do I use your catalogue? Go
back to the questions
a) Add items to the shopping basket by clicking on 'add to basket'
b) If you wish to buy more CDs, click on 'continue shopping'.
c) If you already have an account just enter your user name and password
d) otherwise - set up an account (it only takes 30 seconds!).
e) When you are ready to pay you will be transferred to a secure payment
page.
Your credit card details are
not stored: you must enter these each time for security reasons. You can
track your order to see if it has been shipped.
You can also send a cheque
- payable to 'FARFIELD' to our address below.
3. Do I get an order confirmation? Go back
to the questions
You will receive a transaction
confirmation from NETBANX as your receipt. You will also receive a personal
confirmation (from a real human being!) from us (FARFIELD Records) to
tell you when your order will be dispatched and to thank you!
4. Do
you comply with mail order laws? Go back to the
questions
All UK companies are overseen by the Department of Trade and Industry
(DTI). This means we comply with their laws for selling goods via the
internet: We offer refunds, display prices clearly and display information
on how long various prices / offers are valid for. We offer a 7 day refund
for un-opened CDs.
Furthermore, we want you to
enjoy the shopping process as much as the music. We hope that if we provide
a rapid, efficient service you will tell your friends about us and visit
us again in the future.
5. How quickly will I receive my CDs? Go
back to the questions
In most cases all CDs are held in stock. If a CD is out of stock you will
be unable to add it to your 'shopping cart'. We process orders within
24 hours. Most are sent out the same day as they are ordered. UK orders
are normally received within 2 days of order. European orders within 4
days and USA / Rest of the world within 5-10 days. Orders received after
11 a.m Saturday are posted Monday.
6.
What will appear on my credit card statement? Go
back to the questions
Your card will be billed as 'Netbanx - FARFIELD'. Netbanx handle your
card details and only pass on the order details to us. We can authorise
a refund to your card via Netbanx.
7.
What are the postage and packaging costs? Go
back to the questions
Postage and packaging is free
for orders of 2 or more CDs. Otherwise it is 0.75 for UK, 1.00 for Europe
and 1.25 for USA and the rest of the world (GB pounds).
8. Can I get a refund if I change my mind? Go
back to the questions
Yes you can. If you return your CDs within 7 days of receipt in their
original packaging then we will refund your payment. We regret we are
unable to refund CDs where the plastic packaging has been opened. Simply
send the CDs back with a note to say 'contract cancellation' and we will
do the rest! (Nobody has asked for a refund yet so we must be doing something
right).
9. Are
all your CDs in stock? Go back to the questions
Yes - usually. If not their
will be a note by the CD in the store clearly stating 'out of stock'.
You may still order out of stock cds and we will send when we have them.
10. Are there any discounts available?
Go back to the questions
Postage is free for orders of
2 or more CDs. We may also offer additional percentage discounts at various
times - sign up to our mailing list for info.
11.
Are my personal details secure? What is your privacy policy? Go
back to the questions
Yes. We use your details in order to complete and confirm the order. We
NEVER pass on your details to any other companies.
12.
How long have you been trading? Go back to the
questions
FARFIELD Records was set up in 1998, although Nick Webb has been writing
and selling music since 1994.
13. What
about VAT? Go back
to the questions
We do not charge VAT on orders as we are a small company and do not have
to.
