NO LONGER AVAILABLE Intro Review Quotes: 'Elastic void' is the eponymous debut album from Lisbon architecture student and musician rui gato. He is a self-taught enthusiast who regards the fusion of technology and music as the ideal medium for discovery of self-identity. Contained within are 7 tracks of hygienic and orderly harmony. The intro is unrepresentatively
minimal - humble bleeps nuzzle in reverb lush pads, which contrast shuddering
waves of tamed interference; quietly pensive it echoes the orb's 'blue
room' but stripped to 20% of its content. The sound thickens and with
the addition of low-key 4 to the floor kicks we've crossed into track
2. Hi-hats fade in from the background and complement equally unobtrusive
snares, which gain confidence to form a brisk syncopation. with a surge
of filter sweeps, the track reveals its true identity - some kind of deep
chilled bossa house. Similarly, track 3 is an easy-on-the-ear odyssey
of grainy grooves, poolside optimism, and light drum & bass beats
worthy of ltj bukem. Buy from
